The pâté was liver pâté it seemed like in the «Layers» of the wellington, which is if you could distinguish anything other than the gravy mushroom soup on top. The dough was gooey and hardy cooked and on top of everything it was all covered in this gravy. I have never had a beef wellington prepared this way. I thought it was a large piece of fat that was falling off due to the consistency and the gooeyness of it in fact it was the phyllo pastry dough that they used in the wellington. As I did so I noticed something falling off the outer ring of my cut of meat. I finished my vegetables first then moved my prime rib… ah uhhhhmmm… I mean beef wellington to the center of my plate. I thought they were seasoned perfectly for my taste however others would say they were too peppery. The vegetables were good, only pepper and butter were used in them.
#GEORGIOS CAFE INTERNATIONAL SKIN#
It came with seasonal vegetables broccoli, carrots, green beans and two red skin potatoes. First it came out, and I thought I was looking at a piece of prime rib smothered in gravy with mushrooms. For my entrée I ordered the beef wellington, what a disaster this was. It’s what you would expect to get dining in Toledo. The cheese went really well with my Gentleman Jack. I then tried the cheese with the lemon juice and it was better. I tried the cheese first it was good, a little too firm and not hot enough. I did not eat them because I couldn’t figure out what they were. The cheese was seared on each side and then served with a lemon slice as well as dried cranberries I think, I don’t know what the berries were. The way this Haloumi was prepared was adequate. If you have ever been to Zhenders in Frankenmuth, their pâté is 100 times better than Georgio’s. The liver pâté had no flavor or no factor to make me go back for a second taste. The bread had the texture of Wonder bread and the flavor of water. The bread and liver pâté that came out before the appetizer was awful. I couldn’t remember any of them hardly because he was always adding more to the entrée, meaning he was saying how HE would have the special prepared on top of the way the chef was preparing it. It took our waiter what seemed like five minutes to tell us all the specials that were neither on the menu nor on a piece of paper.

A major downfall they have is the specials.

It should be noted that the waiter waited till our appetizer was finished before taking our entrée order, which I like to go slow at meals. I ordered the Haloumi Cheese for appetizer. They did have Gentleman Jack which is what I drink so I did like that fact. The waiter was prompt with coming over and getting our drinks.
